Today at church Liam kept putting his finger up his nose. I pulled it out, and said, "No Liam, thats yucky" he responded by laughing and sticking both fingers up his nose. I said, "Stop that this instant". Liam grabbed my fingers and said, "Mommy, try yours" and tried to put my fingers in my nose... I laughed, so did he.
Liam thinks picking his nose is so funny thanks to his favorite book: No David. There is one page that shows the main character, David, with his finger up his nose and his mommy saying "stop that this instant" which is what I alwats say to him when he puts his finger up there; he usually is just trying to get the No David reation. Whenever we turn it to the page where David is picking his nose, Liam jokingly sticks his finger right up his nose, if he is being extra silly, he double hands it and does both fingers. I call him David, and tell him, "No David...It's such a silly game, but he laughs so much whenever we call him, "No, David". When he is cranky though, he gets mad, and says, "No Mommy, I'm Liam!"
We read this book, every night, at least once, and probaby about three times a day at nap time...he does not want any other book usually. He can quote the whole book to you if you ask him to.
Anyway, thats the backstory if you ever see Liam picking his nose laughing. Just tell him "No, David"!!
